LD2 LD3 Fire Alarm Smoke Detectors Cardiff Pontypridd Treforest Newport Merthyr South Wales

Typical LD2 system:

Mains alarms with battery back-up with optical smoke alarms in circulation spaces (hallways & landings), heat alarm in the kitchen and a smoke alarm or heat alarm in the main living room. All alarms should be interconnected.

If a fire risk assessment shows the property or occupier to be a high fire risk, increase the number of alarms installed to meet the risk - e.g. follow recommendations for an LD1 installation which will require smoke detectors in the bedrooms and any other room that a fire may start in.

Typical LD3 system:

Interconnected mains powered optical alarms with battery back-up in circulation spaces - hallways & landings.
